there are some brilliant designers out there, coming up with some amazing ideas. on yankodesign.com there's some cool stuff to check. not always realistic or possible, but at least good to see what's going on. this concept of a combined pot and bowl is kinda cool, check it out:

check out autocompleteme.com. it's basically autocomplete suggestions from google search, and it's quite hilarious... here's an example:

morning runs

for the past couple of weeks, I've been getting up an hour earlier in the morning to go out running. at first I wasn't enjoying getting up at all, and tried to convince myself in every possible way that I shouldn't go. I'd hope for rain when I woke up in the morning, or not make sure that I was going to be early enough, etc etc...

but after a couple of runs, I started to realize how good it was for me - I was feeling less tired, with more energy, during the work day; I obviously started losing a bit of weight; my knees and ankles were feeling better, and more...

and also, when I got to experience sunrises like these, how could I complain?

now I'm looking much more forward to it, hoping that it won't rain the next day, and going to bed an hour or so earlier, just to make sure I can get up and run.

here're some running tips as well, very much recommended!

I'm just liking this prayer as of recently:

Praise be unto Thee, O my God! I am one of Thy servants, who hath believed on Thee and on Thy signs. what will they say of you?

As a boy, Abin-Alsar overheard a conversation between his father and a dervish.
“Careful with your work”, said the dervish. “Think of what future generations will say about you.”

today is day 1. in spirit of my previous post and the reference to not saying too much, I'll leave it at that. I just wanted to officially record it somewhere. so there we go. done :)

I have a new favorite blog

alright, derek sivers seems to be an all around generally awesome guy: "Derek Sivers, bequeathed his company to a charitable trust for music education, and had them sell it. This agreement allows him to receive only 5% of the company's profits for living expenses, while the rest of the money (22 million) went into the trust."

I just read up a little bit on his blog today, but check out posts such as this about shutting up, and a recent one about not putting any speed limit to yourself. very interesting ideas and thoughts, and I just recommend it to everyone!
